Change of life, change of blog

For the handful of you who actually follow this little blog, I've decided to move on.

I'm not going to stop blogging, but, I've decided to create a new blog, one that is more consistent with the new phase of life I'm moving into, to capture the changes I'm going through.

I'll still include some of the family stuff, creative ideas, etc., but I'm also going to start blogging about my new career as a librarian.

So, I do hope you follow along - the first post should be up pretty soon, so check it out at:

Bermuda BookGirl

I'll try to remember to post here when the first post goes up there...

Brave Girls/Full Circle Exchange Giveaway by Courtney Walsh!

I 'met' Melody a few years ago in an online scrapbooking forum. A few years ago, she started a group called "Brave Girl's Club", with the goal of creating an worldwide online community of women, where they can feel safe, know they are capable, feel they are powerful and find a happy place where women are encouraged and connected.

Not long ago, they teamed up with Full Circle Exchange, "a non-profit social enterprise brand dedicated to empowering women and whole communities to rise above poverty through design partnerships, innovative products and sustainable economic opportunities."

Through that partnership, and a special pre-Mother's Day campaign at Walmart, they are now selling these amazing items all designed by women, for women. Here's a glimpse:

They can be purchased online at Full Circle Exchange's shop, or from Walmart!

Or, better yet, you can try and win a set of these gorgeous items from Courtney Walsh's blog by clicking here and following the instructions!

How many months???

If you've ever read this blog, you might have noticed that I've not written ANYTHING since just before school ended last year. Yup, last year...

It's been busy, needless to say. Of course, we had a great summer holiday, especially our time in NY and NJ (okay, not the part when our credit card number got stolen, but that's a different story), but the kids had a great time with their family and playing tourist in the big city.

Then, when we got back, I started back to work - part-time, but working, nonetheless. So, yup, no longer a freelance journalist! Instead, I do the PR & Marketing for the Bermuda Zoological Society.

Skip ahead to September and school is back in - and my oldest started Middle School, all just before we moved houses. Yes, another two major changes.

Finally, at the beginning of October, I went back to school myself - also part-time via correspondence - commencing my MSc in Library and Information Studies.

Needless to say, I have been B-U-S-Y!

That said, a friend 'complained' a couple of weeks ago that I've not posted on my blog in a long time... so, here I am, just writing a brief note to let you all know where I've been. And yes, I've lost my mind... so if you find it, please send it to me!
